Ms. Maria Riggio was born in Santa Fe, NM, feels most at home in Arizona (or surrounding areas) and currently resides in the Baltimore, MD area. She joined the Air Force in 2001, serving on active duty as a Signals Intelligence Analyst, specializing in data collection and analysis from [primarily] airborne collection assets. After serving in the Air Force, Ms. Riggio worked as a Government contractor for the Department of Defense and the Department of the Army. At Ft. Huachuca, AZ, she served as an Electronic Warfare Officer course Instructor and as a LandWarNet Action Officer/Liaison. At both Ft. Huachuca, AZ and at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD., Ms. Riggio was a Systems Engineering and Technical Advisor (SETA), providing support to Department of Defense (DoD) components and acquisition programs. She graduated with Honors from the Community College of the Air Force with an AAS in Communications Applications Technology; she graduated with Honors from Arizona State University with a BAS in Operations Management and an MS in Information Management. Ms. Riggio enjoys being active. She is a certified AFAA group exercise leader, a Licensed Zumba instructor, a certified PiYo instructor, a certified Kickboxing instructor, and a Yoga Practitioner. She has flown single-engine airplanes as a hobby and enjoys riding her motorcycle, skydiving, snowboarding, mountain biking, swimming, kayaking, running, dancing and simply, exercise, in general.
