We developed a new-type silicon photomultiplier that avoids inherent limitations of existing types (APD/SiPM/SPAD), surpassing them by order of magnitude in dynamic range, sensitivity and amplitude noise level. Achieved simultaneously, this combination of parameters allows our detector to excel in LiDAR and other applications where high sensitivity under conditions of strong background illumination is crucial.
CMOS-compatibility of our technology provides economy of scale and support for seamless single-die arrays, future-proofing the construction. Our devices have already passed the tests of big optical components distributors, LiDAR/autonomous driving startups and photonics labs. Currently we are transferring our technology to a production foundry, with ETA of general availability in 2020 H1. We are actively looking for pre-orders and partners for co-development.
