Drone deliveries have made real progress over the past year, beyond deliveries of medicines and organs and disaster relief to include progress toward long-awaited drone deliveries for consumers on a large scale.

Walmart and DroneUp Define Last Mile Delivery
Rachel Griffin of Walmart and Tom Walker of DroneUp will kick off the session by sharing Walmart’s investment in drone deliveries, progress made to date, and future plans including integration with terrestrial autonomous vehicles for deliveries.

Are We Witnessing a Breakthrough for Consumer Drone Deliveries?
After many years of talk about the potential value of having products delivered via drone, real progress was made over the past 18 months as drones were used to support the delivery of everything from medical supplies to organs to disaster relief materials. We’ll explore the practical impact of these new developments and will then discuss what technologies and regulatory changes we’ll need to take them to the next level. Additionally, presenters will detail a realistic ROI needed for different types of deliveries as well as what opportunities exist for drone delivery in the short and long-term.
