Bob began his career with Georgia Department of Transportation in 1991 working for the district maintenance division. Was promoted to the District Safety Officer in 1995, selected to fill the State Safety Coordinator position in 1998 and promoted to the State Safety Manager in 2000 where he managed the Department’s Occupational Safety and Risk Management programs until his retirement in September of 2017.
He is currently the UAS Program Manager for the Department of Transportation. Has been tasked to develop and manage the Departments UAS program and pilots. He also assists the Aviation office with special projects and is the backup Airport Safety Inspector (5010 program).
Bob is a private pilot, National Safety Council instructor and has attained the Advance Safety Certificate. He is a member of the North American Association of Transportation Safety & Health Officials, serving as the treasure from 2010 to 2015 and was a member of the Georgia Stuck by Alliance Committee.
Bob enjoys traveling, hiking, and flying.
