Ed De Reyes

Ed De Reyes retired from the Air Force Reserves with 27 years of service. With a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and a master’s degree in Aeronautical Engineering, De Reyes was trained to test and certify all types of aircraft, De Reyes worked for companies such as Boeing, McDonnell Douglas, and Lockheed. De Reyes retired as the head of flight test for Northrop Grumman’s Global Hawk program and started an air cargo company, where he learned how aircraft are utilized to meet customer needs. De Reyes’ experience in aircraft test, certification and air cargo were instrumental to the founding of Sabrewing. After extensive interviews with his contacts at such companies as FedEx, UPS, Amazon, DHL and other air cargo companies, De Reyes and his team took their list of “must-haves” into account when they designed the Rhaegal series of uncrewed air cargo aircraft. The Rhaegal series of aircraft is the industry’s best-in-class, with the highest payload, longest range, highest cube and greatest efficiency of any cargo aircraft in the world – including crewed aircraft.
