Jacob Lopez

Jacob is a Geomatics Analyst for Towill, Inc specializing in aerial mapping in lidar and photogrammetry. Jacob holds a Master of Science Degree in Geomatics Engineering with extensive small UAS research for California Department of Transportation from California State University, Fresno. The research culminated in the adoption of findings in the Caltrans Manual of Surveys to be implemented state-wide. He has a particular interest and professional involvement in applications of small UAS photogrammetry and lidar with the American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ASPRS) as a National Division Director of the UAS Technical Division. He led the division effort to publish the Best Practices and Guidelines for UAS. He is simultaneously pursuing professional licensure in land surveying in California from San Diego and Certified Photogrammetrist and Certified Mapping Scientist-Lidar through ASPRS. Jacob is committed to the safety and well-being of the general public and those members of our local communities. In all, he is a member of the ever expansive international community of the geospatial sciences and land surveying dedicated to learning from, supporting, educating, and uplifting individuals in the field and related fields including our partners, clients, associates, and the public.
