A native of Detroit Michigan John spent over 3 decades of his professional career in Law Enforcement working for both the Detroit Police Departments and the Port St. Lucie Fl Police Department’s He served his final 12 years of his career as Port St. Lucie’s Chief of Police when under his leadership the department attained some of law enforcement’s most distinguished awards in Community Policing and Problem Solving at a time when the city was the fastest growing in the United States.
After working as a consultant for the Office of the Commissioner for 18 years John became a full time employee of MLB in 2008. In his time in leading Baseball’s Security & Facilities Department John has guided Baseball’s 30 clubs through the most significant security changes in the history of the game. Providing the clubs with standards that have received the Department of Homeland Security’s SAFETY Act Designation.
John is a graduate of the Sourhern Police Institute at the University of Louisville The FBI Leadership School at Quantico VA. and holds a MS Degree from Barry University in Miami FL.
