Matt Gulsvig is a founding member of the American Tower UAS Operations Program and remains their Chief Pilot. Operating remote vehicles has been a passion from a young age for Matt. In 1999 he graduated with a degree in Wireless Communications/Electronics from SCTC. In 2013 he was able to turn that passion along with his education into a career by flying multirotor UAS for the telecommunications industry. Matt launched the UAS Program at American Tower in 2017 and managed the UAS operations of 160+ pilots till 2024. He recently took a position as Program Manager of Hardware Solutions at American Tower. He continues to push the telecommunications industry forward by using uncrewed systems in combination with innovative strategies with focus on safe and repeatable processes that bring UAS operations to an enterprise scale.
