Mike Burnside is a Policy Analyst at the American Fuel & Petrochemical Manufacturers (AFPM). AFPM is the national trade association representing nearly all U.S. refining capacity, facilities small and large, and America’s closely linked petrochemical industry. AFPM members make the fuels that keep America moving and the essential petrochemical building blocks for modern life. Our industries provide jobs, contribute to economic and national security, and manufacture products central to safer, healthier, and better quality of life for families and businesses throughout the U.S., and globally.
After graduating from Carnegie Mellon University, Mike worked in the energy industry in roles that have taken him from wellheads to the board room. Mike is honored to serve on several drone committees including the Commercial Drone Alliance, the U.S. Chamber’s Technology Engagement Center, and the BVLOS ARC. Mike believes that UAS provide significant benefits to AFPM member companies, its customers, and the broader general public. He looks forward to realizing the safety, environmental, and efficiency benefits from their deployment.
