Reese Mozer is the CEO and Co-Founder of American Robotics (NASDAQ:ONDS). American Robotics is an industrial drone developer specializing in rugged, real- world environments. He is a driven entrepreneur, leader, and roboticist with over a decade of experience designing, developing, and marketing autonomous drone technologies for the commercial sector. Through his work experience and higher education, Reese has developed a unique skill set of entrepreneurship, management, marketing, regulatory strategy, robotics, AI, systems engineering, mechanical engineering, and software development.
His graduate thesis at Carnegie Mellon focused on using computer vision and AI to autonomously land drones in outdoor environments with precision and reliability, a core piece of technology now utilized at American Robotics. Prior to founding American Robotics, Reese worked for the Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI) researching the uses, markets, and technology gaps for drones in the commercial sector. He worked for Palm Ventures, a private equity firm analyzing and evaluating both early stage and growth capital businesses. Early in his career, Mr. Mozer also served as President of USC Aerial Robotics, a 30-person organization that developed new software and hardware technologies for autonomous drones. Reese is a member several industry standards bodies and associations, including the FAA Center of Excellence for UAS Research (ASSURE), the Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI), the Commercial Drone Alliance (CDA), and the Massachusetts Technology Leadership Council (MassTLC).
