Robin Grace is the MassDOT Aeronautics Drone Pilot Program Senior Program Manager tasked with leading its Operations Integration Team. The team is responsible for enabling small unmanned aerial systems (sUAS, or “drones”) to support transportation use cases and for integrating drone operations across MassDOT, the MBTA, and other state agencies.
Robin has more than 22 years of aviation experience. She is a former United States Air Force pilot with a combined 5,000 hours in the T-1, C-130, AC-130, large UAS (MQ-9, MQ-1), and sUAS aircraft. During her tenure in the U.S. Air Force, Robin served as an Operations Director, Training Program Manager, Standards and Regulations Program Manager, Instructor Pilot, and certified Crew Resource Management Instructor. She retired from the military as a Lieutenant Colonel in 2018, following 20 years of service. Robin has also consulted for a number of UAS projects for the Department of Defense.
