Alex Blake is the Chief of Staff at Elroy Air, where she collaborates with the founders to shape the development and scaling of a middle-mile drone delivery system. Holding an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering, she's been immersed in the drone field since 2015.
Before joining Elroy Air, Alex served as VP of Engineering at Kittyhawk, an air taxi company founded by Sebastian Thrun and backed by Larry Page. At Wing (formerly Google[X]), she led teams overseeing aerodynamics, reliability, and flight tests, establishing a qualification strategy crucial for successful commercial drone deliveries on three continents.
Her accomplishments also span roles as a Launch Lead at Amazon Prime Air, driving next-generation drone development, and as a quality manager at Google's Titan project, contributing to the advancement of a 50m wingspan solar-powered High Altitude Long Endurance (HALE) drone for internet delivery. Alongside her expertise, Alex holds a Part 107 Remote Pilot License and a Glider Pilot License, reflecting her hands-on dedication to aviation innovation.
