Fritz Reber

Fritz Reber is the Head of Public Safety Integration at Skydio. Prior to Skydio, Fritz retired as the Patrol Operations Captain after a 27-year career with the Chula Vista Police Department.  His career included serving on the SWAT Team, Commanding all three divisions, Managing Investigations, the Jail, and Dispatch, and creating the Digital Evidence Unit. He was the UAS Team Commander, where he envisioned and developed the Drone as First Responder (DFR) Concept. After retirement, Fritz worked closely with CVPD to author the DFR submission to the FAA/IPP. He also co-authored the initial DFR BVLOS waiver, envisioned and authored the safety case for the what became the TBVLOS waiver, Chula Vista receiving the first TBVLOS in the nation. Fritz is also the visionary and co-inventor of Live911, a key technology in most DFR Programs across the country.
