Jake Lahmann is the Director of Product Management for Valmont Infrastructure Services, where he leads a team of product managers, UAS technologists, and engineers to develop infrastructure health management solutions globally for the energy, communications, and transportation industries. Prior to Valmont, Mr. Lahmann’s involvement with UAS began in 1999 through the development of imaging and connectivity systems for all major robotics and aerospace defense with systems operating in both Iraq and Afghanistan battlefields. In 2013, Mr. Lahmann led the development and production of public safety UAVs, including the SEEKER, the nation’s first commercially available EO/IR UAS platform. While catering to public safety, Mr. Lahmann recognized the need for UAS training, launching the first nationwide service to produce self-sustaining programs inside of public safety and military organizations.
At Valmont, Mr. Lahmann and his team have developed fully autonomous long range drones, ASCEND, a 207-hour UAS training and certification program, market-specific Saas based condition assessment products and services for critical infrastructure that enhance engineering and business workflows.
