Wayne Baker is the Director of Stakeholder Engagement at DJI, the world leader in civilian drone and creative camera technologies. In this role, he spearheads partnerships within DJI’s robust ecosystem of software providers and end users across public safety, agriculture, and conservation. Additionally, he drives advocacy initiatives that highlight the positive impact of drone technology.
Since joining the company in 2019, Wayne has been instrumental in expanding the US business, significantly contributing to areas ranging from business development to public safety integration. His efforts have been crucial in enhancing the company’s support for police, fire, and rescue personnel across America, who depend on DJI products to protect the public. Wayne also serves as an adjunct instructor for Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service (TEEX), teaching a course on UAS (Unmanned Aircraft Systems) for Public Safety Personnel.
As a 26-year veteran of the fire service, Wayne was previously the Fire Chief and Emergency Management Coordinator in Joshua, Texas. He was also a founding member of the North Central Texas Public Safety UAS Response Team where he worked with DJI to test and evaluate new drone platforms and thermal imaging cameras before they were publicly released.
