CENTUM

Cellair

What is it?

It is an airborne cellular communications system that enables the deployment, control, and management of a 4G and 5G SA private network, particularly when conventional infrastructure is unavailable or insufficient. Cellair enables reliable voice and data transmission between authorized users, facilitating coordination and the flow of information in situations where stability and security are essential.

Its autonomous architecture and rapid deployment make it an effective tool for changing scenarios without interfering with other network connections, allowing for its integration into UAVs, vehicles, helicopters, boats, or backpacks. Additionally, it features an intuitive interface that simplifies operation, even under demanding conditions.

Who is using it?

Cellair is used by government agencies in critical missions, such as disaster relief and military operations.

Some of our end users include:

  • Defense
  • Law enforcement
  • Search and Rescue (SAR) teams
  • Deployment, in partnership with Telefónica, of the first 5G aeronautical cell for emergency management at Mobile World Congrees
  • Cellair has been selected as part of NASA’s “Extravehicular Activity and Human Surface Mobility Program Communications Architecture” contract.

How is it making an impact?

Cellair ensures private, secure, and reliable communications during critical moments, such as emergencies, natural disasters, and tactical operations. In these circumstances, where immediacy and versatility in the field are essential to the successful completion of the mission, having effective connectivity is crucial.

In a few minutes, Cellair deploys emergency 5G (SA) hotspots to restore communications in the affected area. These can be deployed via four main platforms: UAVs, vehicles, helicopters, boats, or backpacks, enabling efficient management and immediate control of the situation.
