Drone Recharging Operational Payload System (DROPS)

What is it?

An autonomous aerial defense system built as a decentralized network of intelligent drone platforms. Each unit operates independently while continuously sharing real-time data, forming a resilient and adaptive aerial grid. The system maintains functionality even during infrastructure loss or communication disruption, using AI to coordinate surveillance, threat detection, and response. Tethered power capability enables extended or continuous operation with stable energy and communication links. It also provides long-range communication relay in remote, denied, or disaster-affected areas. Designed for defense, border security, emergency response, and critical communication support.

Who is using it?

Mostly military usage right now, but in talks with ATT and UPS for commercial delivery, especially to business parks and campuses where noise constrains are less strict than residential areas.

How is it making an impact?

Reduces risk to operators in the field with tactical resupply missions. Can recoup highly sensitive or expense payloads autonomously. Minimizes the down-time of any UAV, making missions more efficient. Larger DROPS products include a CASEVAC pod (casualty evacuation), which could also be used for civilian applications for airlifting injured people rapidly.
