What is it?
This is a technology that is motor agnostic but for UAV’s but can add twice the usable thrust because of the cooling of the armature or the same thrust at 40% less power usage. It turns any UAV motor into counter rotation, eliminating the torque of the propeller by spinning both the rotor and the stator, turning the stator into an armature and utilizing its axial compressor capabilities when spinning, to pull air through the motor at a very high rate, cooling the coils. This also drops the propeller RPM by about 40%, allowing the motor to handle a much larger, more efficient propeller without overheating.
Who is using it?
Because the technology is so new, it is being used in a significant number of prototype applications and unfortunately they are all under NDA.
How is it making an Impact?
This allows a drone to pick up much heavier payloads at the same power usage or the same payload at 40% less power usage, extending its range. These motors can also go to very high power levels for short periods of time and be able to cool back down again when the power drops off. A U-13 T motor can handle about 32 Lbs of continuous thrust and can peak for a brief moment at 50 lbs with a 32-inch prop. The same motor with eVector on it, can maintain about 53 lbs of thrust and can burst to 120 lbs for 10-15 seconds at a time without over heating with a 45″ propeller..
