What is it?

The FireSparrow Mk10 is the only NDAA-compliant water-drop capable multi-purpose heavy-lift UAS currently being flown by a fire agency in the US. Designed to be rugged and reliable yet affordable, and with an 80lb payload capacity, the FireSparrow Mk10 was designed specifically for the fire services to support wildland firefighters with everything from transporting equipment/supplies, detecting and mapping hotspots, to dropping up to 10 gallons of suppressants.

How is it making an Impact?

The San Bernardino County Fire Dept is planning on using the FireSparrow Mk10 for heavy-lift transport (for example gathering hoses after a fire) to reduce firefighter injuries, as well as for rapid response to new wildfire starts for both monitoring and suppression, to help keep fires small until other resources arrive.
