What is it?

Sixdof Space has created an optical tracking solution offering precision landing with cm level accuracy both indoors and outdoors, even in direct sunlight. The patented technology leverages infrared lighting to serve as location beacons. The sensor unit, connected to your drone or robot, can see the beacons on the ground or opposite the sensor (currently tested up to 100 meters). The algorithms will report the 6DOF positional data to the drone/robot, to direct an autonomous landing, docking or relative position.

With options that are NDAA compliant, with and without a built in computer and easy integration with the flight controller, the Sixdof products and technology is your partner for a precise, high speed positioning and landing.

Who is using it?

The products are being used by multiple companies worldwide for targeted drone landings on moving or stationary locations – including ships. The technology is also being used to support robotic positioning for surgical robotic applications, the next generation mid-air refuelling applications, drone swarm and ground vehicle “follow-me”, and headset positioning in AR/VR applications.
