Septentrio

mosaic-G5 P3 GNSS receiver module and mosaic-G5 P3H heading variant

What is it?

Measuring only 23 mm by 16 mm and weighing as little as 2.2 grams, mosaic-G5 P3 is an ultra-compact multi-frequency GPS/GNSS receiver module enabling reliable, high-accuracy positioning without compromises in performance for commercial UAVs. The high-performance GNSS technology provides enhanced positioning availability even in challenging environments where GNSS signals are degraded or obstructed. It offers all-in-view positioning technology that leverages all available satellites “visible” in the sky for maximized positioning availability and reliability. AIM+ Advanced technology protects from GPS jamming and spoofing. It offers users a possibility to balance positioning availability and reliability depending on the specific use case.

Who is using it?

  • Uvify light show drones
  • Holybro and CUAV, ZeroOne, ByAero create boards/control systems for commercial UAVs
  • AGR drones for various applications, including: fire fighting, window washing, delivery, and agriculture
  • SparkFun, ArduSimple create boards around this module
  • iKINGTEC (inspection), TopXGun (Ag, delivery), Walkera (fire fighting, car follow me), Jiusi (wall cleaning),
  • Many other UAV companies around the world
  • Other applications, including robotics and handheld

How is it making an impact?

UVify, a global leader in drone light shows, relies on Septentrio’s mosaic technology to deliver precise, safe, and visually stunning performances. With the mosaic-G5 P3, optimized for light-show drones, UVify benefits from ultra-compact size, low power consumption, and robust GNSS positioning even in challenging environments. Its quad-band, multi-constellation tracking ensures high availability when flying dense swarms, while AIM+ anti-jamming and spoofing protection safeguards operations in interference-prone urban settings. The module’s flexibility to balance accuracy and availability allows smooth take-off, flight, and landing, helping UVify push the boundaries of synchronized aerial displays with confidence.
