Safety Standards and Practices for Commercial UAS Pilots

Although each mission flown is unique and requires specific focus, there are operational standards implemented in most UAS programs. Regulations, best practices, common safety touchpoints, and standard procedures all form a safety culture whether it’s a one-person or large team operation. During this one-hour session, we’ll describe and demonstrate operational standards to ensure risk are identified and mitigated, ensure quality of data capture, and operate as a professional pilot. Attendees will receive an interactive pre/post flight checklist, with training to understand the use of checklists in an aviation environment.
