Dustin Schocken

Dustin Schocken is an autonomous systems technologist who has spent his career building and scaling UAS programs at the edge of what’s operationally and regulatorily possible. In August of 2025, Dustin led cellular enabled flight demonstrations using pilots in Florida and Alaska to remotely operate UAS over LTE from 2000 miles away. Prior to this, Dustin architected the first IS-BAO certified corporate drone program at Verizon by establishing the corporate governance structure, safety management systems, training infrastructure, and operational frameworks that enabled over 50,000 flights without a single FAA incident or injury. With roots as a Marine Corps chief instructor at the UAS Center of Excellence and experience spanning military UAS operations, cellular-enabled BVLOS, international market expansion, and enterprise pilot training, Dustin brings deep real world experience to the regulations, technologies and best practices shaping the next generation of commercial drone operations. Today, Dustin is the Director of Regulatory Affairs & Product Safety at AirData.
