Jacob Thomas is a UAS Spray Pilot with the Lee County Mosquito Control District in Southwest Florida, supporting mosquito-control and public-health missions through larvicide application, mapping, inspection, and imagery using small and heavy-lift unmanned aircraft.
He manages operations from mission planning through post-flight reporting, including payload preparation, calibration, weather and drift assessment, airspace review, ATC coordination, maintenance, and regulatory compliance under FAA Part 107, FAA Part 91 Public Aircraft Operations, COA, and authorized BVLOS operations under CoW/A. His work focuses on safety, application accuracy, environmental stewardship, and advancing the use of UAS in public-sector aviation.
