Jason Wood

Jason Wood is the UAS Program Lead at Pilot Institute, bringing over eight years of professional experience in the unmanned aircraft systems industry, preceded by two years of academic study in the field. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Unmanned Aircraft Systems and a Master’s Degree in Unmanned Systems with a specialization in Small UAS. An FAA-certified Remote Pilot, Level 3 Master Thermographer, and Pix4D Certified Trainer, Jason combines deep technical expertise with hands-on operational knowledge spanning drone operations, data capture, and thermal imaging. He has assisted in creating over 30 courses at Pilot Institute and has taught at the university level, bringing both academic rigor and real-world insight to the advancement of training standards in the rapidly evolving drone industry.
