Skip Fredricks is the Director of Drone Technologies at Grossmont College and founder of Hollywood Drones. He authored one of the first state-approved two-year drone cinema and commercial operations programs in California and has trained over 3,000 students, placing hundreds into high-paying careers in cinematography, infrastructure inspection, public safety, and media production.
With a background in broadcast television and work connected to major networks and production environments, Skip bridges the gap between cinematic storytelling and commercial drone operations. His programs emphasize camera mastery, professional workflow, FAA compliance, and business development—producing pilots who are equally fluent in visual storytelling and enterprise application.
He is a national advocate for workforce-driven drone education and the integration of cinematic fundamentals into all commercial drone sectors.
