I have been involved in Public Safety since I was a teenager, starting in the fire service at 16. I have worked in EMS, Dispatch, and settled into Law Enforcement in 1998. During my career, I have always enjoyed learning and sharing with others. As an instructor, I aim to teach by expanding the knowledge base on a topic. As a supervisor, I rely on my team to provide insight, thought, and opinion when situations permit. I am currently assigned as the Supervisor not only for our Air Support Unit but also for our historic Downtown area and special events.
I have been flying sUAS for about 8 years now, have been commercially licensed since 2021, and I enjoy the challenges of an evolving field, new technologies, and pushing the potential of sUAS in public safety. I have been married to my lovely wife, Sandy, for 31 years. We have two adult children and two grandsons. I met Sandy when we were both teenagers in fire school, and she shares my passion for public service, public safety, and sharing with others.
