Will Wheeler

Will Wheeler leads UAS integration, innovation, and regulatory strategy for Southern Company’s diverse use cases and applications. In previous roles, Will has led large-scale UAS operations across utility infrastructure. His leadership has enabled over 18,000 miles of inspection flights under FAA waivers and exemptions for energy providers such as Xcel Energy and Shell Pipeline. Will also brings a creative edge from his earlier career as a remote-control aerial cinematographer, with credits on major productions for Warner Bros., Lionsgate, and Netflix. He holds a BBA from Georgia State University and an FAA Private Pilot Certificate.
