William “Fritz” Reber

William “Fritz” Reber is currently the Vice President of Professional Services with Aerodome, a start-up providing full service DFR Operations to public safety agencies, centered around their Remote Operations Software.  Prior to Aerodome, Fritz spent 4 years as the Head of Public Safety Integration with Skydio, the largest U.S. drone manufacturer and leader in AI and autonomy.  Prior to Skydio he served 27 years with the Chula Vista Police Department.  He retired as the Patrol Operations Captain, the #2 position in the agency.  While UAS Commander at CVPD he was the visionary behind the Drone as First Responder (DFR) concept of operations.  He is also the visionary and co-inventor of the first product to stream live 911 call audio and location data directly to first responders and other stakeholders.  Since this first product (Live911 by Higherground), other major companies have developed competitor products, validating what was once a novel (and for some, controversial) capability not previously considered.
