Peter York

Pete York serves as Division Chief for CAL FIRE’s Aviation Program, where he leads efforts related to UAS and emerging technologies that support wildfire response and public safety operations. With nearly two decades of service in CAL FIRE, he has progressed through the ranks from Firefighter and Fire Apparatus Engineer to Fire Captain, Battalion Chief, and Division Chief. Based in Northern California, York combines extensive field experience with a passion for aviation, innovation, and technology integration to enhance situational awareness, firefighter safety, and operational effectiveness across the state.
