Kat James is the founder of Four Hundred Feet, a drone and data consultancy based in Nairobi, Kenya, that helps researchers, NGOs, and social good organizations elevate their impact through the use of drone technology. Kat has been working at the intersection of global health and emerging technologies for over a decade, previously leading the UAV for Payload Delivery Working Group. She is passionate about increasing diversity in the drone industry and raising awareness for drones for good use cases. Kat is a KCAA & FAA certified drone pilot, has a dual master’s in Public Health and Information Science, and a B.A. in Geography and Global Health.
