What is it?

The Black Swift S2 is a versatile UAS platform offering cutting-edge capabilities for both remote soil moisture measurement and “follow the scent” methane leak detection. With specialized sensors and advanced algorithms it can accurately determine moisture content in the top 3 inches of soil (to +-3%). For methane detection, the S2 is equipped with a lightweight sensor (<2 ppb detection) and employs a unique sensor-directed navigation system that allows it to autonomously “follow the scent” of methane plumes. With autonomous Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) navigation, the ability to cover large areas (over 4 square miles in under 90 minutes) for soil moisture and survey 10+ square miles and 50+ facilities per day for methane leaks.
