Andrew Wilkins

Andrew Wilkins is the co-founder of Ascend Engineering, a UAV software development and integration firm. Ascend specializes in autonomy, perception, and systems integration for drones, with deep experience in PX4, MAVLink, QGroundControl, and VOXL 2. The team builds custom drone solutions and provides flight testing, calibration, and field support for both commercial and defense clients. Andrew focuses on making advanced drone technology work in the real world—whether it’s flying in GPS-denied environments or streaming real-time video over mesh networks. He works at the intersection of hardware and software to help clients turn ideas into flying systems.
