Jason Shull is a senior shareholder at Banner Witcoff and a member of the firm’s Aerospace and Defense practice group. He has more than 25 years of experience helping companies protect innovation, evaluate patent risk, and navigate complex intellectual property disputes. His practice includes patent, trademark, and copyright litigation in federal courts throughout the United States, as well as patent challenges before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
Jason advises manufacturers, technology companies, distributors, and other businesses in the commercial drone, aerospace, defense, and advanced technology sectors. He counsels clients on product development, freedom-to-operate and infringement risk, patent enforcement, competitive positioning, supply-chain and vendor issues, and broader intellectual property strategy. His experience spans technologies including electronic sensors and monitoring systems, computer hardware and software, mobile and communications technologies, mechanical and electromechanical systems, and other sophisticated products used in regulated and highly competitive industries.
Jason has represented both patent owners and accused infringers, giving him a practical understanding of how patent disputes can affect product design, market entry, procurement decisions, vendor relationships, and long-term business strategy. He also helps companies identify and protect valuable intellectual property before disputes arise.
